  • NEGOTIATIONS – attention all members

    Thank you to all who completed surveys distributed by your building representatives. The Negotiations Team needs your input and your support as this is going to be a difficult contract! Your Negotiations Team has been meeting, and they worked hard to put the surveys together, so please submit them to your reps. If you still have suggestions after going through your contract, please send them to Mary Karriem at Lincoln Avenue School or you may place them in our OEA Office slot at 27 Lincoln Avenue.     *Building Reps please distribute your calendars. We encourage each building to send representatives from their buildings. There will be more AR Training for reps in the near future.

January!  Yes!  We have our Negotiations Team comprised of a member of every unit, one secondary and one elementary teacher, one secretary, one paraprofessional, one security guard, and we are comprising a survey.  In the meantime, we ask that you go through the language in our current contracts and send any suggestions to Alex Protopapas at alexproto@optonline.net who will submit those specific suggestions to the Negotiating Team.  Language is very important and any suggestions should have some justification for suggested changes.  We will try to keep you up to date with any news.  Have a good month!
